A special event will take place on 24 February 2024 at the WhiteWall store in Stilwerk Düsseldorf: the famous New York photographer Phil Penman will present his fascinating work from 2:30 pm and allow visitors to immerse themselves in his impressive world of street photography. At 4.00 pm, visitors will also have the opportunity to meet Phil Penman in person at a meet and greet.

British-born, New York-based photographer Phil Penman has been documenting the rapid changes on the streets of New York City for over 25 years. With clients ranging from People Magazine to the Daily Telegraph, he has photographed living legends such as Jennifer Lopez and Bill Gates and Bill Gates, as well as historic moments such as the terrorist attacks of 11 September.

Phil Penman's photo book "New York Street Diaries", which was published by teNeues in July last year, is an impressive photo book for all fans of the Big Apple. In it, Phil Penman shows the big city on the east coast of the USA from a side that is rarely seen, namely calm and tranquil. The pictures were taken partly during the great snowstorm and partly during the corona lockdown and are thus contemporary witnesses to the pandemic restrictions that completely turned our previously known world upside down. He captures intimate moments in his black and white photographs and shows the people and streets of New York City far away from the hustle and bustle.
