Leon Schäfers, born in 1997 and raised in Germany’s Ruhr area, studied Journalism in Gelsenkirchen, earning a master’s degree along the way. Today, he primarily works in digital media. Alongside various roles at WDR, a major public broadcaster in Germany, he also writes for one of the country’s leading music platforms: Hiphop.de. His deep interest in hip-hop culture pairs all too well with a fascination for the finer things in life, ranging from niche perfumes to — as you might have guessed — luxury watches. Ironically, his everyday timepiece is a modest $40 Casio.
